This is to inform the general public that applications for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session are now open. Interested and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in health, allied sciences and related fields.

ND Programmes Eligible for Direct UTME Application

UTME candidates may apply directly for the following ND programmes without additional qualifying exams (subject to meeting JAMB and institution requirements):

  • Health Information Management
  • Public Health Technology
  • Community Health
  • Physician Assistant
  • Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Environmental Health
  • Paramedicine Science
  • Dental Therapy
  • Dental Surgery Technology
  • Dispensing Optometry
  • Computer Science

Please note: UTME candidates must still meet subject requirements and any cut-offs published by the institution.

How to Apply (Official Procedure)

  1. Visit the official admission portal: https://eportal.escohsti-edu.ng/.
  2. Create an account or log in with your existing credentials.
  3. Complete the online application form and upload required documents (passport photo, O’level result slip, UTME/DE details where applicable).
  4. Make the application payment of N1,000 (application fee). Note: other fees such as screening, acceptance or departmental fees (for example N15,000) may be required at later stages — always confirm exact amounts on the portal before making payments.
  5. Print your application acknowledgement and keep payment evidence safe.

Important: Only make payments through the official portal and verified bank/payment channels. Beware of individuals advertising “guaranteed admission” — the institution will not ask you to pay application fees into private accounts outside the portal.

Admission Requirements

Candidates are expected to meet the following minimum entry requirements for ND programmes in health and allied fields:

  • A minimum of five (5) credits at O’level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Health Science.
  • For HND applicants: a relevant ND with a pass/credit from a recognized institution in the relevant field, plus any additional departmental requirements.
  • UTME candidates must have the correct UTME subjects for the chosen programme and meet the institution’s published cut-off mark where applicable.

Special professional or technical programmes (e.g., Echocardiography, Dialysis Therapy, Biomedical Engineering) may have additional entry conditions. Check the programme page on the portal for details.

HND Admissions

Applications for HND admission are open for suitably qualified ND holders into these programmes (subject to departmental screening):

  • Community Health

HND candidates should prepare certified copies of ND transcripts, result slips and any professional attachments or portfolios required for technical courses.
