Eligibility Criteria
For National Diploma (ND):
- You must have participated in the 2025 UTME conducted by JAMB and scored the required cut-off mark for your chosen course.
- Federal Polytechnic Bauchi must be selected as your First Choice Institution during JAMB registration.
- O’level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent) with at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates yet to choose FPTB as their first choice are advised to apply for a Change of Institution at any JAMB office.
For Higher National Diploma (HND):
- Possession of a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of Lower Credit grade in your ND program. Candidates with Pass may be considered with at least two years of post-ND industrial experience.
- Evidence of completion of one-year mandatory Industrial Training (IT).
How to Apply
Applying for admission into Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is straightforward but must be done meticulously to avoid errors that could cost you your admission. Follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the FPTB Admission Portal:
Head over to Federal Polytechnic Bauchi’s portal. - Generate Your Payment Invoice (RRR):
Click on Online Admission and fill in your details. The system will generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. Print or save this slip. - Make Payment:
- Visit any commercial bank in Nigeria with your RRR slip to make payment.
- Alternatively, you can pay online via Remita using your debit card.
- ND candidates are required to pay a screening fee, while HND applicants pay a non-refundable fee of ₦6,500.
- Complete Your Application:
Return to the portal and log in using your Application Number and the phone number you initially registered with. Carefully upload all required documents, including:- JAMB result slip (for ND)
- ND certificate and transcripts (for HND)
- O’level results
- Passport photograph
- Submit and Print:

Important Notice on JAMB Policies
It’s crucial for candidates to note that in line with JAMB’s new policy, only students who select Federal Polytechnic Bauchi as their First Choice Institution can be considered for admission. Those who initially chose other institutions but now prefer FPTB must carry out a Change of Institution at the nearest JAMB office.
For ND candidates, after receiving admission, it’s mandatory to accept and print your JAMB admission letter within four (4) weeks to avoid losing the offer completely. Many candidates have lost their places in previous years simply by failing to complete this critical step.
Closing Date
All applications must be submitted online no later than six (6) weeks from the date this admission notice was published. Late applications may not be considered, so act quickly to secure your place.
