The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Wednesday, June 12, 2025, as a public holiday to commemorate Democracy Day.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement issued on Monday, June 10.
“As we mark another Democracy Day, we must remember the sacrifices made by our heroes past and renew our dedication to building a better, united, and prosperous Nigeria,” the statement read.
